November 12 (SeeNews) - The local leasing arm of Italian banking group UniCredit, UniCredit Leasing, plans to provide 20 million to 30 million euro ($29.8 million-$44.8 million) in funding for renewable energy projects in Bulgaria, the company CEO, Birgit Zoettl, said on Thursday.
“We are discussing [projects] but honestly its too early to tell the names," Zoettl told reporters on the sidelines of a signing ceremony for the financing of a local wind farm project.

UniCredit Leasing on Thursday agreed to provide funding to Austrian-based Leitwind for a 12 million euro nine-megawatt (MW) wind farm in Kavarna, on the northern Black Sea coast.
Bulgaria currently has 330 MW of installed wind farm capacity.
Electricity generated from renewable resources, mostly water, currently covers less than 10% of Bulgaria's gross domestic electricity consumption.
