The funds will be released under the UNDP’s Programme Document, which will cover activities in four areas: rule of law, justice and security, local economic development and employment, energy efficiency and environmental protection, as well as the inclusion of marginalised groups in society, the government statement said, quoting UNDP's deputy resident representative in BiH, Zahira Virani.
The focus will be on the development of local communities, investments and opening of new jobs, Sanjin Halimovic, the Federation’s minister of development and entrepreneurship said in a statement, adding that he expects greater support of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) under the programme.
The Federation is one of the two entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other is the Serb Republic.
