Uljanik Plovidba leads blue-chip gainers on Zagreb bourse, indices mostly drop

October 4 (SeeNews) - Shipping company Uljanik Plovidba [ZSE:ULPL] led the blue-chip gainers' list on the Zagreb Stock Exchange on Wednesday, bourse data showed.

Uljanik's shares closed 4.1% higher at 139.50 kuna.

Power transmission equipment maker Dalekovod [ZSE:DLKV] paced the blue-chip decliners as its share price fell 2.24% to 20.06 kuna.

Wafers and biscuits producer Koestlin [ZSE:KOES] generated the highest trading turnover of 597,850.00 kuna. The company's share price went up 10.0% and closed at 550.00 kuna.

The bourse's total trading turnover decreased to 2.9 million kuna ($454,700/386,500 euro) on Wednesday from 8.8 million kuna on Tuesday.

The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index of the ZSE fell 0.22% to 1,801.34 points, after losing 0.13% on Tuesday.

The narrower of the bourse's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, went down 0.18% to 1,067.26 points after decreasing 0.33% in the previous trading session.

The fixed-income CROBIS index edged up 0.03% to 111.0291 points.
