The additional flights will be available from May 25, 2015, and will be followed by three more extra flights per week from Manchester Airport to Istanbul from June 22, news agency Anadolu Ajansi said.
At present, Turkish Airlines services the Manchester-Istanbul route with flights in both directions each day, according to the online tickets booking system of the company.
The new flights will depart Manchester at 2345 GMT and will enable additional connections to Eastern Europe, parts of the Middle East and key destinations within Turkey, the news agency said, citing Turkish Airlines’ general manager for Manchester, Ersen Engin.
Turkish Airlines currently operates flights to destinations in 108 countries, Engin added.
