Turkey's Trakya Cam to replace Koza Madencilik in BIST 30 index

ISTANBUL (Turkey), December 16 (SeeNews) – Turkish glassmaker Trakya Cam [BIST:TRKCM] will enter Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 30 index on January 2, 2015, while Koza Madencilik [BIST:KOZAA] will leave the index, the stock exchange said on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, fertilizer producer Bagfas Bandirma Gubre Fabrikalari [BIST:BAGSF], tire maker Goodyear Lastikleri [BIST:GOODY] and peer Brisa Bridgestone Sabanci Lastik Sanayi ve Ticaret [BIST:BRISA] will replace oil and gas explorer Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim [BIST:IPEKE], Yazicilar Holding [BIST:YAZIC] and tractor manufacturer Turk Traktor [BIST:TTRAK] in the BIST 50 index, Borsa Istanbul said in a statement regarding its index revision for the period from January 2, 2015, to March 31, 2015.

The stocks to enter the BIST 100 index include Islamic bank Albaraka Turk [BIST:ALBR], white goods maker Vestel Beyaz Esya [BIST:VESBE] and Net Holding [BIST:NTHOL]. Finansbank [BIST:FINBN], OMV Petrol Ofisi [BIST:PTOFS] and real estate investment firm Dogus GYO [BIST:DGGYO] will leave the main index of Borsa Istanbul from January 2, 2015.

BIST Stock indices are created to measure the joint performance of group of equities traded on Borsa İstanbul. The stock exchange conducts periodic reviews of the BIST 30, BIST 50 and BIST 100 indices on the last trading day of November, February, May and August using market value and free float ratio data for the last six months. The BIST 100 index is used as the main index for Borsa Istanbul Equity Market. It automatically covers BIST 30 and BIST 50 stocks.
