Turkey's tourism sector sees 13% y/y increase in employees - media

ISTANBUL (Turkey), December 31 (SeeNews) – Turkey's tourism sector saw a 13.1% increase in employment this year compared to 2013, with the sector coming third in terms of the number of overall insured employees, according to data prepared by the Mediterranean Tourist Hotels and Operators Association, as quoted in local media on Wednesday.

The association says there are 1.04 million insured employees in the tourism sector in Turkey. In the same period, the number of insured employees across the country increased by 5.1%, reaching 13.3 million overall, according to figures from the association and reported in daily Sabah.
