Turkey's Garanti Bank gets regulatory nod for 450 mln lira (159 mln euro) bond issue

ISTANBUL (Turkey), December 29 (SeeNews) – Turkish lender Garanti Bank [BIST:GARAN] said it has received regulatory approval to issue 450 million Turkish lira ($194 million/159 million euro) in bonds on the domestic market.

The bank will increase the amount of the bonds to be offered to 675 million lira in case of excess demand, it said in a bourse filing on Friday. Garanti Bank has a limit to issue up to 12 billion lira in bonds in Turkey.

Garanti Bank is Turkey’s second largest privately-owned bank in terms of total assets.
