ISTANBUL (Turkey), December 17 (SeeNews) – Turkish contractual construction services provider Celikler Taahhut Insaat ve Sanayi [BIST:CLKLR] has made the highest bid of $521 million (418 million euro) in the tender for the sale of two state-owned thermal power plants in northwestern Turkey, the country’s Privatisation Administration said on Wednesday.
The tender for the block sale of the 210 megawatt (MW) Orhaneli plant, located in the province of Bursa, and the 365 MW Tuncbilek plant in the Kutahya province, was held on Wednesday, the privatisation authority said in a statement.

The other bidders in the tender were local companies Bereket Enerji Uretim, Alsim Alarko Sanayi Tesisleri ve Ticaret and Konya Seker Sanayi ve Ticaret, local news agency Anadolu Ajansi said.
Celikler Taahhut Insaat ve Sanayi is part of Celikler Yatirim Holding which is active in the construction, energy, tourism, mining, ready concrete and insurance sectors through its subsidiaries.
