Turkey's Berteks Textile pays Serbian factory workers back wages - economy min

December 21 (SeeNews) - Turkish clothing manufacturer Berteks Textile Kragujevac paid the workers of its factory in Kragujevac, in central Serbia, their wages due for August, September and October, the economy ministry said on Wednesday.

"We confirm that the entire obligation for wages to the employed workers of Berteks for the months of August, September and October has been settled," said the company in a document filed with the economy ministry.

The total amount paid to employees amounted to 7,932,000 dinars ($71,750/67,600 euro).

Last month, Berteks Textile closed down its factory in Kragujevac.
