Trakiya Glass Bulgaria to invest 168 mln euro in new production capacities

December 19 (SeeNews) - Trakiya Glass Bulgaria, a unit of Turkish glassmaker Sisecam, will invest 328.2 million levs ($223 million/167.8 million euro) in new production capacities, the government in Sofia said on Wednesday.

The company plans to build a second production line for flat glass and a second furnace for tableware glass, the government said in a statement following its weekly meeting.

The government will grant 1.0 million levs to Trakiya Glass for the implementation of the project which will create 300 new jobs.

The company has implemented one of the largest greenfield investment projects in Bulgaria with investment of 400 million levs in building the glass plant in Targovishte, in Bulgaria's northeast.
