February 26 (SeeNews) - Croatian robotics and AI solutions provider Gideon said it has entered a strategic cooperation agreement with Toyota Material Handling Europe (TMHE) for development of new automated solutions due to increasing market demand for automation and flexible robotics solutions.
By implementing Gideon’s AI-powered autonomy software stack on Toyota vehicles, the market will get a solution to some of the unsolved automation problems through significantly shortened project implementation timelines, focusing primarily on collaborative case picking for retail order fulfillment and autonomous truck unloading and loading, Gideon said in a press release last week. It did not provide financial details about the deal.
As the first result of this cooperation agreement, TMHE plans to present new application solutions to the market during 2024, starting with order fulfilment solutions for retail distribution.
