March 26 (SeeNews) - Montenegro’s international airport in the coastal town of Tivat served 14,551 passengers in February, little changed from 14,312 handled in the same month of last year, local media reported.
Compared to the month of February of record pre-pandemic year of 2019, however, the number is still 14% lower, news outlet Vijesti reported.
Last month, local media reported that Montenegro expects candidates for a concession contract to run the country's two international airports, in Tivat and Podgorica, to submit their final offers this summer.
The airports in Tivat and the capital Podgorica served a total of 2.51 million passengers last year, up from 1.92 million in 2022.
