In the 20 first days of May, TIA has processed 617,130 passengers, data in a video posted on LinkedIn shows.
The growth is driven by the introduction of new airlines at the airport, along with destinations which were not accessible before, TIA said in April.
Last year in October, TIA also saw Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair launch operations in Albania. Ryanair now operates flights connecting Tirana to 24 destinations in 11 countries across Europe, its website shows.
Foreign tourist arrivals to Albania reached 2.3 million in the first four months of 2024, from 1.68 million the same period of 2023, the tourism ministry said earlier in May.
