March 27 (SeeNews) - Three consortia signed contracts worth a total of some 21 million euro ($22.7 million) for reconstruction of sections of the road connecting the village of Kijeve in central Kosovo to the village of Zahaq, in the western part of the country, the infrastructure ministry said on Wednesday.
A tie-up comprising Kosovo construction firms Famis Co and Asphalt Company, and Slovenian peer Kit-Ak Gradnje signed a deal worth 9.3 million euro, the ministry said in a notice.
A deal valued 6.2 million euro was agreed upon with a consortium consisting of local construction firms Empreus, Jaha Company, Toifor, NNT ABC and Turkish civil construction firm Metag Holding.
A consortium comprising Montenegrin construction firm Tofi and Kosovo’s Lika Company and Lika Trade, signed a 5.4 million euro contract with the infrastructure ministry.
Reconstruction works are scheduled for completion within a three-year timeframe.
