Telekom Slovenije's cons net profit rises 48% y/y in Q1

May 14 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's biggest telecommunications operator - state-controlled Telekom Slovenije [LJE:TLSG], recorded a 12.1 million euro ($13.0 million) net profit in the first quarter of 2024, up 48% year-on-year, it said on Tuesday.

The company's consolidated operating revenue grew 4% on the year to 170.4 million euro in January-March, Telekom Slovenije said in a first-quarter financial report filed with the Ljubljana bourse.

First-quarter EBITDA grew 10% on an annual comparison basis at 59.7 million euro, while EBIT went up 31% to 18.3 million euro.

Return on sales increased to 10.9% in the first three months of the current year from 8.6% a year earlier.

Net financial debt increased to 408.7 million euro at end-March 2024 from 355.7 million euro twelve months earlier.

The consolidated statement includes the results of Telekom Slovenije d.d ., its Slovenian companies Avtenta, GVO, Planet TV, Soline, TSinpo, TSmedia, and its subsidiary in Kosovo - IPKO.
