Telekom Slovenije Says 9-mo Group Net Profit Falls 4.0%, 2008 Net Profit Target Remains Safe

November 28 (SeeNews) - Blue chip Telekom Slovenije on Friday reported a 4.0% fall in group net profit to 71.8 million euro ($92 million) in the first nine months of 2008, but it said its net profit target for 2008 remains safe.

“The aim – [2008 group] net profit to remain at the level of last year’s – is still achievable,” Telekom Slovenije said in its unaudited nine-month financial report filed with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE), where its shares are listed.

Group net sales through September rose by 10% on the year to 639.9 million euro.

Outside Slovenia, the Telekom Slovenije group is present in Bosnia, Macedonia, Albania, Croatia, Kosovo and in Gibraltar.

Telekom Slovenije's shares rose 2.15% to an average price of 162.52 euro on the LJSE by 0919 GMT on Friday.
