TEB Kosovo's Q4 2023 net profit up 9.5% y/y

February 2 (SeeNews) - Kosovo’s lender TEB, fully owned by Turkey’s banking holding TEB, said it recorded a net profit of 22.9 million euro ($24.9 million) in the fourth quarter of 2023, an increase from the 20.9-million-euro net profit booked in the prior-year period.

TEB’s loan portfolio amounted to 598 million euro at the end of December 2023, up from 535 million a year earlier, TEB said in a data release earlier this week.

The bank’s deposit portfolio rose to 723 million euro at end-December from 651 million euro a year earlier.

Total assets grew to 858.7 million euro at the end of 2023, from 760.4 million euro at the end of 2022.

TEB was the fifth largest lender by assets among 11 banks that operated in Kosovo in the fourth quarter of 2023, according to Kosovo’s bank association.
