“The shareholding of Andermatt Group in BIOinput is based on common values and a mutual vision to contribute to healthy food production and a healthy environment,” the Swiss company said in a statement earlier this week. It did not disclose the value of the deal.
Varazdin-based BIOinput was set up in 2016 by its managing director and former majority shareholder Martina Boric. She will remain managing director and a minority shareholder of BIOinput. In return of the sale of her majority stake in BIOinput, Martina Boric will become minority shareholder in the Andermatt Group, according to the statement.
Andermatt's goal is to replace chemical pesticides with good biological alternatives, such as microbial products, natural substances, beneficial insects and traps.
The Andermatt Group has been investing over the last decade in a worldwide production and distribution network to strengthen its position in important agricultural markets, it said.
