Srbijagas set to get govt guarantees for $200 mln in loans

December 16 (SeeNews) - The Serbian government has sent to parliament for ratification a bill under which it plans to extend state guarantees for $200 million (160 million euro) in loans that state-owned gas monopoly Srbijagas plans to take out from five local lenders.

Srbijagas plans to borrow up to $20 million from the local unit of Hungary's OTP Bank, $70 million from Banca Intesa Beograd, $20 million from Vojvodjanska Banka, $20 million from AIK Banka [BEL:AIKB] and $70 million from UniCredit Banka Srbija, a document posted on the website of the Serbian parliament showed.

All loans will be extended for a period of five years with a one-year grace period.
