S&P Affirms, Withdraws Ratings of Romania's MKB Romexterra Bank

BUCHAREST (Romania), December 23 (SeeNews) – Global rating agency Standard&Poors said on Wednesday it affirmed its 'BB-' long-term and 'B' short-term ratings on Romanian MKB Romexterra Bank and subsequently withdrew the ratings at the bank's request.

The outlook at the time of the withdrawal was negative. MKB Romexterra Bank, majority owned by Hungary’s MKB, had no outstanding issues rated by S&P at the time of withdrawal, the rating agency said in a statement.

Further details were not immediately available.

MKB Romexterra Bank (www.romexterra.ro) had a 0.9% domestic market share at the end of 2008.
