BELGRADE (Serbia), November 22 (SeeNews) - South Korea's Kyungshin plans to build in Serbia's Smederevska Palanka a 24 million euro ($26.6 million) plant for spare parts for electric car batteries, the Serbian municipality said.

The plant, a greenfield investment, will employ 1,000 workers, the Smedereva Palanka municipality said in a statement earlier this week, following a meeting of Kyungshin representatives with municipality officials.

The plant will be built in the Guberas industrial zone of Smederevska Palanka, some 80 km south of the capital Belgrade.
