December 11 (SeeNews) - Nearly 3.44 million shares of Romanian blue-chip bank Banca Transilvania changed hands for a combined 7.46 million lei ($2.6 million/1.8 million euro) in three transactions on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB, on Friday, bourse data showed.
The number of shares corresponds to a stake of 0.32% in the bank. The shares changed hands at an average price of 2.17 lei each, figures showed. The parties to the deal were not immediately known.

Banca Transilvania shares, part of BVB’s blue-chip BET index, last traded up 2.84% at 2.17 lei by 1411 GMT on Friday.
Nearly 42.52 million shares of Banca Transilvania, corresponding to a 4.01% stake, changed hands for a combined 102 million lei in five transactions on the BVB on Monday. The bourse did not disclose the identity of the buyers, but local media reported that an EU-based bank acquired the stake and plans to raise it to 20%.
