September 8 (SeeNews) - Nearly 26.5 million shares of Romanian blue-chip bank Banca Transilvania changed hands for a combined 42.8 million lei ($14.6 million/10.1 million euro) in four transactions on the Bucharest Stock Exchange on Tuesday, bourse data showed.
The number of shares corresponds to a stake of 2.49% in the bank. The shares changed hands at an average price of 1.62 lei each, the bourse data showed.

Banca Transilvania shares were trading down 0.62% at 1.60 lei by 0854 GMT on Tuesday.
The parties to the deals were not immediately known.
At end-August some 24.3 million shares, equal to 2.3% of the bank, changed hands for a combined 39.4 million lei in five transactions on the BVB at 1.62 lei each.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development held a 14.98% stake in the bank as of June 30, data from Romania's Central Depository showed. Individuals owned 43.9% and companies held a combined 41.1% of Banca Transilvania.
