Sofia to sign 20.7 mln euro tram line repair deal with VDH

December 17 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's capital Sofia said that it has ranked first a 40.5 million levs ($25.4 million/20.7 million euro) offer by local company VDH in a tender for a contract for the reconstruction of a tram line.

VDH offered the second-lowest price but received the highest mark on the technical criteria, Sofia municipality said in a filing to the public procurement agency last week.

A tie-up led by construction company Trace Group Hold [BUL:T57] offered the lowest price - of 39.9 million levs.

The tender attracted offers from four other bidders, two of which were disqualified.
