In comparison, pharmaceuticals producer Sopharma [BUL:SFA] was the SOFIX constituent to decline the most on Wednesday, losing 0.33% to 6.04 levs.
Sopharma was the day's top stock by turnover, generating some 1.14 million levs with 188,228 shares traded.
M+S Hydraulic and BSE were also among the top gainers in the BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, and the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. The biggest increase in the BGBX40, however, was posted by aluminium products manufacturer Alcomet [BUL:ALCM], which jumped by 3.70% to 7.00 levs.
Overall, the BGBX40 closed 0.27% higher at 156.85 points, while the BGTR30 went up 0.31% to 789.27 points.
Total turnover on the main market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange sank to 2.40 million levs ($1.32 million/1.23 million euro) on Wednesday from 6.81 million levs on Tuesday.
