SOFIX was lifted by a 5.66% jump in hydraulic equipment manufacturer M+S Hydraulic [BUL:MSH] to 11.20 levs and a 4.11% increase in First Investment Bank, or Fibank, [BUL:FIB] to 4.56 levs.

The two companies also spurred on the BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, and the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. The top performer in the BGBX40, however, was fuel retailer Petrol [BUL:PET], which surged 11.52% to 0.92 levs.

Overall, the BGBX40 index grew by 0.18% to 172.03 points, while the BGTR30 added 0.08% to 852.38 points.

Meanwhile, the BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, went down 0.24% to 190.36 points. It was set back by Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER], which lost 1.19% to 3.33 levs.

A 3.06% tumble in electric vehicle manufacturer Sin Cars Industry [BUL:SIN] to 0.38 levs drove down the BEAMX. The index, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, fell by 0.08% to 97.18 points.

Total turnover on the main market of the Sofia bourse soared to 3.62 million levs ($2 million/1.9 million euro) on Friday from 820,769 levs on Thursday.

The top stock by turnover was chemicals supplier Himsnab Bulgaria [BUL:CHSB], which generated 587,500 levs with 9,400 shares traded. The company closed flat at 62.50 levs.
