Sofia stock indices mostly fall, SOFIX rises on Fibank, Sirma gains

June 6 (SeeNews) - Three of the five indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) lost ground on Thursday, whereas the blue-chip SOFIX added 0.09% to 865.04 points, bourse data showed.

The benchmark index was spurred on by First Investment Bank, or Fibank, [BUL:FIB], which jumped by 5.68% to 4.84 levs, and software developer Sirma Group Holding [BUL:SGH], which increased by 3.24% to 0.955 levs.

The two companies also lifted the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, by 0.45% to 861.30 points.

The BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, on the other hand, declined by 0.06% to 171.09 points. The index was constrained by a 3.64% fall in diversified group Synergon Holding [BUL:SNRG] to 1.06 levs and a 2.83% dip in diversified group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:SPH] to 10.30 levs.

The sole loser in the BGREIT was Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:BREF], which slipped by 0.79% to 2.50 levs. The index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, ended the session 0.16% lower at 191.25 points.

The BEAMX index, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, shed 0.24% to 102.10 points on the back of a 2.22% tumble in cargo drone developer Dronamics' special purpose vehicle Dronamics Capital [BUL:DRON] to 2.64 levs.

Total turnover on the main market of the Sofia bourse decreased to 938,047 levs ($521,103/479,614 euro) on Thursday from 1.08 million levs on Wednesday.

Alternative investment fund VF Alternative [BUL:VFAL] generated the highest turnover of the day, at 500,000 levs, as 20 shares changed hands. The stock closed 0.79% lower at 25,000 levs.
