The only gainers in the benchmark index were hydraulic equipment manufacturer M+S Hydraulic [BUL:MSH], which climbed 1.83% to 11.10 levs, and IoT products maker Shelly Group [BUL:SLYG], which rose by 1.19% to 67.80 levs.

The two companies also spurred on the BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse. It went up 0.15% to 164.71 points, additionally propelled by a 3.48% leap in diversified group Synergon Holding [BUL:SNRG] to 1.19 levs.

Meanwhile, the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, declined by 0.06% to 815.90 points. The index was constrained by a 2.14% tumble in diversified group Chimimport [BUL:CHIM] to 0.685 levs and a 1.77% dip in pharmaceuticals trader Sopharma Trading [BUL:SFT] to 5.55 levs.

The BEAMX index, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, slid 0.34% to 95.51 points. It was mostly held back by cargo drone developer Dronamics' special purpose vehicle Dronamics Capital [BUL:DRON], which shed 4.00% to 2.40 levs.

Finally, the BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, closed flat at 191.64 points after neither of its two constituents to trade posted any changes from Wednesday's close.

Total turnover on the main market of the Sofia bourse soared to 5.53 million levs ($3.02 million/2.83 million euro) on Thursday from 320,743 levs on Wednesday.

Shelly Group was the day's top stock by turnover, which came in at 264,420 levs after 3,900 shares changed hands.
