February 26 (SeeNews) - Three of the five indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed lower on Monday, with the blue-chip SOFIX slipping 0.05% to 785.07 points, bourse data showed.
First Investment Bank, or Fibank, [BUL:FIB] and Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:BREF] were the top decliners in the benchmark index. Fibank shed 2.80% to 2.78 levs, while BREF fell by 1.52% to 2.60 levs.

The BGREIT, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, posted the steepest loss of the day, erasing 0.45% to 191.25 points. It was constrained by the tumble at BREF, along with a 1.24% dip in Sopharma Buildings REIT [BUL:SFB] to 15.90 levs.
A 5.45% drop in MFG Invest [BUL:MFG] to 3.12 levs dragged the BEAMX down. The index, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, ended the session 0.32% lower at 97.06 points.
In comparison, the BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, gained 0.06% to 162.31 points. It was lifted by a 5.00% leap in battery manufacturer Monbat [BUL:MONB] to 3.78 levs and a 3.13% increase in diversified group Chimimport [BUL:CHIM] to 0.724 levs.
Chimimport also buoyed the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. The index grew by 0.24% to 810.98 points, additionally spurred on by the Bulgarian Stock Exchange [BUL:BSE], which climbed 2.10% to 14.60 levs.
Total turnover on the main market of the Sofia bourse slumped to 4.04 million levs ($2.2 million/2.1 million euro) on Monday from 28.7 million levs on Friday.
Diversified group Holding Nov Vek [BUL:HNVK] was the day's top stock by turnover, generating 909,300 levs with 43,300 shares traded. The company closed 0.96% higher at 21.00 levs.
