Sofia bourse indices reverse losses, Neochim shines

March 8 (SeeNews) - Most indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) ended the week higher, with the blue-chip SOFIX leaping 0.72% to 803.00 points, bourse data showed.

The benchmark index was propelled by a 5.69% jump in fertiliser producer Neochim [BUL:NEOH] to 22.30 levs, along with a 2.78% increase in hydraulic equipment manufacturer M+S Hydraulic [BUL:MSH] to 11.10 levs.

The two companies also lifted the BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, and the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. Both indices were further supported by software developer Sirma Group Holding [BUL:SGH], which added 2.90% to 0.71 levs.

Overall, the BGBX40 rose by 0.56% to 164.37 points, whereas the BGTR30 ended the session 0.52% higher at 811.57 points.

The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, climbed by 0.74% to 190.44 points on the back of a 5.33% advance in real estate investment trust Sopharma Buildings REIT [BUL:SFB] to 15.80 levs.

Meanwhile, the BEAMX index, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, erased 0.70% to 98.31 points. It was hit by a 2.88% decline in organic foods producer and distributor Smart Organic [BUL:SO] to 20.20 levs and a 2.67% tumble in Dronamics Capital [BUL:DRON] to 2.55 levs.

IoT products maker Shelly Group [BUL:SLYG] posted the highest turnover of the day, at 298,289 levs ($166,163/152,512 euro), after 4,874 shares traded. The stock closed 0.99% higher at 61.20 levs.

Total turnover on the main market of the BSE slipped to 723,445 levs on Friday from 1.15 million levs a day earlier.
