Sofia bourse indices rebound amid soaring turnover

October 14 (SeeNews) - All the indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed in green territory on Friday, with the blue-chip SOFIX gaining 0.23% to 581.7 points after strong performance of diversified group Chimimport [BUL:CHIM] and First Investment Bank (Fibank) [BUL:FIB].

Chimimport gained 5.28% to 0.80 levs, while Fibank rose by 4.05% to 1.80 levs. SOFIX was additionally supported by IoT products maker Allterco [BUL:A4L], which increased by 1.22% to 16.60 levs.

Fibank and Chimimport also boosted the BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia stock exchange. The top gainer, however, was express delivery company Speedy [BUL:SPDY], which jumped by 6.8% to 110 levs. Eventually, the index closed 0.09% higher at 134.69 points.

The BGTR30 index, under which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, gained 0.4% to 702.18 points. The performance was buoyed by Chimimport, Fibank as well as Super Borovetz Property Fund [BUL:SBPF], which gained 4.32% to 2.90 levs.

Super Borovetz Property also pushed up the BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts. Overall, the index closed 0.6% higher at 177.32 points.

Total turnover on the BSE's main market surged to 3.83 million levs ($1.9 million/1.96 million euro) from 729,093 levs a day earlier.

Tchaikapharma High Quality Medicines [BUL:7TH] was the most liquid stock on Friday, generating a turnover 3.48 million levs. It closed 0.65% higher at 15.40 levs with as many as 225,975 shares traded.
