The top loser among the SOFIX components was diversified group Chimimport [BUL:CHIM], which declined by 6.02% to 0.75 levs with 15,700 shares traded. Another blue chip,Central Cooperative Bank [BUL:CCB], slipped by 2.61% to 1.49 levs.

The BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, lost 0.54% to 133.96 points, reflecting losses in Chimimport and Stara Planina Hold [BUL:SPH]. Stara Plania Hold dropped by 6.29% to 8.20 levs.

Both companies also dragged the BGTR30 index, under which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. Eventually, the index closed 0.54% lower at 698.38 points.

In contrast, the BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, increased by 0.16% to 177.61 points.

The rise was driven by CCB Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:CCBR], which climbed by 4.35% to 48 levs. The gain more than offset the poor performance of Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER], which fell by 1.4% to 2.82 levs after it published earlier in the day information on its investment activity in September.

Total turnover on the BSE's main market more than halved to 1.35 million levs ($ 675,732/690,244 euro) on Monday from 3.83 million levs on Friday.

Poultry producer Gradus [BUL:GR6] was the most liquid stock on the day, generating turnover of 1.08 million levs. The company closed 5.47% higher at 1.35 levs with 800,420 shares traded.
