Sofia bourse indices fall amid soaring turnover

November 21 (SeeNews) - All four main indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed in red territory on Monday, with blue-chip SOFIX falling by 0.18% to 592.14 points on losses at diversified group Chimimport [BUL:CHIM] and software developer Telelink Business Services Group [BUL:TBS].

According to bourse data, Chimimport decreased by 2.58% to 0.75 levs, while Telelink lost 1.71% to 11.50 levs.

Chimimport also pushed down the performance of the the BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded companies on the Sofia bourse, and the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight.

The top loser in both indices, however, was venture capital fund Eleven Capital [BUL:11C], which dropped by 3.85% to 20 levs. Eventually, BGBX40 slipped by 0.14% to 136.25 points and BGTR30 decreased by 0.33% to 711.90 points.

In parallel, the BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, fell by 0.43% to 178.63 points. The only two losers were Balkan and Sea Properties REIT [BUL:BSP], which went down by 1.87% to 21 levs, and CCB Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:CCBR], which fell by 0.42% to 47.80 levs. The other five trusts closed flat.

The most traded stock on Monday was Rodna Zemya Hold [BUL:HRZ], which generated a turnover of 2.92 million levs with 1.03 million shares traded. The company closed 2.16% higher at 2.84 levs.

Total turnover on the main market of the Sofia bourse surged to 6.07 million levs ($3.18 million/3.1 million euro) from 309,643 levs on Friday.
