Sofia bourse indices end week on high note as turnover plummets

The benchmark was supported by a 3.11% rise in Central Cooperative Bank [BUL:CCB] to 1.66 levs and 5,250 shares traded.

The other blue-chip gainers at the end of the session were diversified groups Chimimport [BUL:CHIM], up 2.93% to 0.774 levs, and Doverie United Holding [BUL:DUH] whose stock increased 2.43% to 7.60 levs.

The blue-chip stock that lost the most on the day was IoT maker Allterco [BUL:A4l], which extended Thursday's losses by retreating 2.78% to 19.20 levs with 1,100 shares bought and sold.

The wider BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, increased 0.30% to 136.44 points, buoyed by a 3.21% climb in aluminium producer Alcomet [BUL:ALCM] to 8.05 levs.

Meanwhile, the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, advanced 0.37% to 714.29 points, aided by the three blue-chip gainers CCB, Doverie and Chimimport.

The BGREIT index, which tracks real estate investment trusts, increased its value by 0.31% to 179.40 points, mostly due to a 0.99% rise in Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:BREF] to 2.04 levs.

Investment firm Eleven Capital [BUL:11C] was Friday's most traded stock, posting a turnover of 88,795 levs. Eleven Capital closed flat at 20.80 levs as 4,269 shares changed hands.

Total turnover on the main market of the Sofia bourse took a dive to 309,643 levs ($163,925/158,318 euro) on the last day of the trading week from 7.56 million levs on Thursday.
