Sofia bourse indices end mixed, turnover falls

SOFIA (Bulgaria), December 19 (SeeNews) – The stock exchange indices on the Sofia bourse ended mixed on Friday as turnover on the regulated market fell, bourse data indicated.

Sofia bourse indices end mixed, turnover falls

The blue-chip SOFIX index, which tracks the 15 most liquid shares on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE), closed 0.62% lower at 516.70 points after falling 1.88% in the previous session.

The broader BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares, ended 0.51% down at 103.39 points after closing 1.38% lower on Thursday.

Turnover on the regulated market decreased to 1.25  million levs ($784,500/639,100 euro) from 2.1 million levs on Thursday.

Fertiliser producer Neochim [BUL:3NB] was the top SOFIX gainer, closing 8.33% higher at 39.00 levs as 10  shares changed hands.

First Investment Bank [BUL:5F4] led the blue-chip decliners, closing 5.07% lower at 2.60 levs in a volume of 14,923 shares.

The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of the real estate investment trusts, added 0.47% to 96.95 points after closing 0.18% lower in the previous session.

The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, went up 0.10% to 405.69 points after closing 1.71% lower in the previous session.
