Sofia bourse indices close mostly down in thin turnover

SOFIA (Bulgaria), December 30 (SeeNews) – Most of the share indices of the Sofia bourse ended in the red on Tuesday, the last trading day of 2014, in thin turnover, bourse data indicated.

The Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) will be closed on December 31, January 1 and 2.

The blue-chip SOFIX index, which tracks the 15 most liquid shares on the BSE, fell 1.14% to 522.10 points after rising 0.82%  on Monday.

The broader BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares, was down 1.03% to 104.61 points after closing 1.00% higher in the previous trading session.

Turnover on the regulated market dropped to 178,600 levs ($111,000/91,000 euro) from 631,000 levs on Monday.

First Investment Bank [BUL:5F4] was the top blue-chip gainer, ending 1.82% higher at 2.80 levs in a volume of 3,148 shares.

Bulgarian industrial group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:5SR] was the biggest SOFIX loser, closing 4.44% lower at 4.30 levs as 2,880 shares changed hands.

The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of the real estate investment trusts, added 0.39% to 98.75 points after losing 0.69% in the previous trading session.

The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, was down 1.60% to 407.50 points after ending 0.60% higher on December 29.
