Losses in diversified group Doverie United Holding [BUL:DUH] and Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:EUGB] were offset by a 3.04% climb in Allterco [BUL:A4L] to 16.95 levs.

Doverie erased 3.15% to 6.76 levs in a trading volume of 4,100 shares while energy and insurance group Eurohold dipped 0.99% to 2.00 levs.

The loss in Doverie, coupled with a 6.36% slump in courier delivery firm Speedy [BUL:SPDY] to 103.00 levs, kept the BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, in red territory. The BGBX40 inched down 0.04% to 134.20 points, further impacted by a 2.03% loss in battery maker Monbat to 4.82 levs.

By contrast, the BGTR30 index, under which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, managed to close in the black, advancing 0.18% to 700.98 points, despite the losses in Doverie, Monbat and Eurohold. The top BGTR30 gainer was Allterco, followed by Industrial Holding Bulgaria [BUL:IHB] which ticked up 2.86% to 1.80 levs.

The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, was the other index to decrease on Thursday, albeit by just 0.03% to 177.99 points. The loss in the index was driven by a 0.51% decline in Intercapital Property Development REIT [BUL:ICPD] to 0.985 levs in a trading volume of 4,000.

Total turnover on the BSE's main market tumbled to 341,180 levs ($170,795/174,442 euro) after soaring to 4.62 million levs on Wednesday.

The most liquid stock on the day was SeverCoop Gamza Holding [BUL:GAMZ] with 47,000 shares having changed hands for a turnover of 150,400 levs. SeverCoop Gamza closed flat at 3.20 levs.
