Sofia bourse blue-chip index decreases hurt by lenders, Monbat

SOFIA (Bulgaria), November 6 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian Stock Exchange blue-chip SOFIX index fell 0.23% to 424.94 points on Friday, hurt by car battery maker Monbat [BUL:5MB] and the two banks among its members.

Monbat shares erased 3.23% of their price on Friday following a 2.11% drop on Thursday.

First Investment Bank (Fibank) [BUL:5F4] saw its price fall the most among SOFIX members,  by 4.26%. Central Cooperative Bank (CCB) [BUL:4CF] was the third biggest loser, erasing 1.11% of its price.

The wider BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, edged down 0.03% to 97.58 points, while the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, fell 0.34% to 483.27 points.

The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, decreased 0.48% to 132.56 points.

Total daily regulated market trading turnover amounted to 855,000 levs ($519,000/437,000 euro).
