SOFIA (Bulgaria), December 17 (SeeNews) – Sofia Airport is expected to post a 23% increase in revenues in 2014, the country's transport ministry said on Wednesday.

The total number of passengers serviced at the airport is seen exceeding 3.8 million in 2014, the ministry said in a statement issued to mark the official launch of the Sofia-Dubai route serviced by low-cost airline Flydubai.

Sofia Airport posted a net profit of 12.5 million levs ($8.0 million/6.4 million euro) on total revenues of 112.5 million levs in 2013, servicing just over 3.5 million passengers.
