Slovenia's Unior cons net profit declines in Q1

May 31 (SeeNews) - Slovenian blue-chip hand tools manufacturer Unior [LJE:UKIG] recorded a consolidated net profit of 5.0 million euro ($5.4 million) in the first quarter of 2024, down from 6.7 million euro in the like period of last year, it said on Friday.

Unior achieved 79.6 million euro in net sales, 1.2% less than in the first quarter of 2023, the company said in an interim financial report filed with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE).

Earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) fell to 7.3 million euro from 8.2 million euro, while earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) declined to 11.5 million euro from 12.5 million euro, Unior said.

Unior and its affiliate companies employed 2,824 people at the end of March.

Unior's shares closed flat at 10.0 euro on Thursday on the LJSE.
