Slovenia’s Top Insurer Triglav Raises Stake in Financial Company Triglav Nalozbe

September 15 (SeeNews) - Slovenia’s largest insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav said on Monday it has raised its stake in local financial company Triglav Nalozbe to 79.94% from 74.22% after a buyout bid launched in July.

Zavarovalnica Triglav acquired 753,316 shares and now owns 10,537,926 shares of Triglav Nalozbe, it said in a statement filed to the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE).

The insurer had offered to pay 2.40 euro ($3.44) per Triglav Nalozbe share. The buyout bid expired on September 12.

Shares in Triglav Nalozbe last traded on the LJSE on September 12 at an average price of 1.80 euro, down from 1.81 euro at the previous trading on September 11.

LJSE suspended trade in the insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav on September 12 until September 18 after a decision by Slovenia’s market regulator.
