March 12 (SeeNews) - Slovenian glassmaker Steklarna Hrastnik, part of Switzerland-based Vaider Group, plans to invest 7 million euro ($7.6 million) in technology upgrades in 2024, local media reported.
Steklarna Hrastnik plans to invest primarily in the automation of processes, regular maintenance and equipment upgrades, and information technology, public broadcaster RTV quoted Vaider Group CEO Peter Cas as saying on Monday.
The company is also developing projects related to retraining, acquiring new knowledge and investing in employees, Cas said.
Last year, the owner of Steklarna Hrastnik was renamed to Vaider Group from Global Glass Group as part of a thorough overhaul of its image and trademarks to provide more efficient corporate management and positioning in the market of packaging glass.
