Slovenia's SIJ considers commercial paper issue

SIJ plans to initiate a pre-sale process on the capital market to determine the interest of investors, the steel manufacturer said in a filing with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.

The company authorised lender Nova Ljubljanska banks (NLB) [LJE:NLBR] to provide investment services related to the issuance and sale of commercial papers, NLB said.

SIJ recorded an 18.8 million euro ($20.3 million) consolidated loss in 2023, driven by high energy costs, versus a net profit of 95.4 million euro in the previous year.
