April 26 (SeeNews) - Slovenia’s state-owned export and development bank, SID Banka, has recorded a net profit of 15.6 million euro ($16.7 million) in 2023, up from 8.25 million euro in the previous year, it said.
Net interest income increased to 30.2 million euro last year from 24.2 million euro in 2022, while net non-interest income grew to 10.2 million euro from 2.3 million euro, SID Banka said in its 2023 annual report filed with the Ljubljana bourse on Thursday.
The cost-income ratio (CIR) stood at 55.7% in 2023, up from 81.6%, driven by the increase in income generated in 2023, SID Banka said.
The bank's operating costs amounted to 22.5 million euro in 2023, up 3.7%, pushed up by higher labour costs and costs of services.
Its total assets decreased to 2.686 billion euro at the end of 2023 from 2.8 billion euro a year earlier.
Total loans to the non-banking sector rose to 1.428 billion euro from 1.383 billion euro, whereas the deposit portfolio of the non-banking sector expanded to 1.115 billion euro from 1.035 billion euro.
