Slovenia's Sava Re Jan-Sept gross premiums in Montenegro up 10.2%

PODGORICA (Montenegro), November 29 (SeeNews) – Slovenian insurance and reinsurance group Sava Re [LJE:POSR] said on Thursday the gross written premiums of its Montenegrin unit rose to 8.5 million euro ($11.0 million) in January-September from 7.7 million euro a year earlier.

The value of gross paid claims at Sava Montenegro increased by 3.0% on the year to some 2.9 million euro in the first nine months of 2012, Sava Re said in its unaudited interim financial report sent to the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.

Sava Montenegro had 152 employees at the end of September, up from 140 at the end of 2011.

Apart from the insurance company, Sava Re also owns Sava Car company in Montenegro.
