LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), September 30 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's general government budget recorded a surplus of 124 million euro ($135.6 million) equivalent to 1% of the country's GDP in the second quarter of 2019, as compared to a surplus of 131 million euro in the same period of last year, the statistical office said on Monday.
In the April-June period, Slovenia's budget revenue rose by 4.6% on the year to 5.33 billion euro, while expenditure added 4.8% to 5.2 billion euro, the statistical office said in a statement.
Compared to the end of the first quarter of 2019, consolidated general government gross debt increased by 232 million euro and at the end of the second quarter of 2019 amounted to 31,803 million euro or 67.7% of GDP. Debt in short term loans and short term debt securities increased the most.
