Slovenia’s Probanka Raises 9-mo Parent Net Profit by 1.9%

Assets totalled 1.09 billion euro at the end of September, up 11% from a year earlier, the bank said in a statement to the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE), where its shares are listed.

The bank said it expects its assets to be lower than expected at the end of this year due to the global financial crisis, but did not elaborate.

Probanka ranks thirteenth in terms of assets among the banks in Slovenia with a market share of 2.33%, the statement said.

Eighteen banks operate in the country of two million people, a member of the eurozone since 2007.
