Slovenia’s NKBM Bank Posts 9-mo Parent Gross Profit of 35.4 Mln Euro

October 21 (SeeNews) - Slovenia’s second largest bank by assets, Nova Kreditna Banka Maribor (NKBM), on Tuesday reported a parent gross profit of 35.4 million euro ($47 million) in the first nine months of 2008.

The bank posted a parent pre-tax profit of 55.4 million euro in the first nine months of last year.

Parent assets totalled 4.557 billion euro at the end of September, up 8.0% from the end of last year, NKBM said in a statement to the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE), where its shares are listed.

The bank said it will present more detailed information on its performance in the first nine months of 2008 on October 27.

Shares in blue chip NKBM gained 2.55% to an average price of 16.92 euro on the LJSE on Tuesday.
