Slovenia's net power output falls 15% m/m in Aug

LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), September 25 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's net electricity production decreased by 15% month-on-month to 1,145 GWh in August, while total electricity consumption fell by 6% to 1,115 GWh, the country's statistical office said on Wednesday.

The output of the country's hydro power plants decreased by 15%, the output of thermal power plants fell by 31%, while the electricity production of Slovenia's sole nuclear power plant, Krsko, edged down by 0.2% as compared to the July level, the office of statistics said, citing provisional data.

In line with the lower production of thermal power plants, fuel consumption also decreased - by 28%.

In August, Slovenia imported 648 GWh of electricity and exported 649 GWh.
