In 2013, Luka Koper ranked 11th among European car terminals and was the second largest car terminal in the Mediterranean, it said in a statement.

About 25 European and Asian car producers with production sites in Europe, the Mediterranean area and Asia use Koper as a shipping gateway. Exports currently have a 60% share in these flows with imports accounting for the remainder.

Luka Koper's car throughput fell 4.0% to 463,000 units in 2013.
